The day was dawning and so it was time to open the shop to the world. Inside his shop Kurt, dressed from head to toe in a Buddhist’s attire, deep red in colour with his dark brown hair tied behind him using a simple length of cord. Once more he walked out of his storage space, and examined his shop again smiling at his accomplishments as he could see he had gotten that far. He smiled as he walked behind the counter and reached under to switch on his music system to allowing a calm Tibetan music to fill the shop before he walked over to his front door and unlocked it before opening the door and stood there looking out at his neighbour hood then quickly switched the sign around to tell everyone that the shop was open and available to receive customers. He then walked back inside the shop and sat down on his cushion behind the till and began to wait.

A few hours later, sometime just before two, a woman came in with dark hair, and blue eyes, she was slightly freckled, and once she got close enough for him to see, he would notice faint lines on her face, indicating she was a bit older than at first glance.
She sniffed the air and smiled. This had clearly been just the shop she'd been looking for. What would have normally been competition for her own shop was now something beneficial. She started looking around at different labels and jars, trying to find what she needed. Hell, she wasn't even sure what she needed.
She had a short bit of time before she needed to call the officer back to the shop as she'd promised. She just needed some supplies first, and her store was a bit low on herbs and the like. The woman turned to see the man at the till, walking over. She had two necklaces on, one was a protection amulet, the other a symbol of the goddess Diana.
"Excuse me sir, I was wondering if you could help me?" She smiled.

Kurt's day was simply and quiet for most of the day until which he heard his door open and he looked up to see a female coming into his store and put on a pleasant expression, one of welcome and warmth. So he now had his first customer, well there always had to be a first for something. He remained sitting on his cushion for a time, not wishing to bother his first customer until he felt she needed something, however she seemed to go ahead of that and walked towards him. Once she had asked her question Kurt smiled and got up off of his cushion and walked around to the front end of the till holding prayer beads in his hand. "Certainly, how can I help you?" Kurt asked, holding his warm smile and bowing to this female customer.

Emmeline watched him carefully, taking in details as she always tried to. You never knew when something was going to catch you as important. Briefly her eyes stayed on the prayer beads he held, but soon they went back to his face.
"Thank you. I'm looking for a few herbs I need." She trailed off, not wanting to say why. Of course it was none of his business anyhow. "I actually run a shop, but it's a bit of a walk from here. I heard about this place opening from an article in the local paper. Figured I'd check out my competition while I was in need of something."
She smiled, this was a test to see if he had a sense of humor. She gave it a minute to sink in then she began her request. "I need crushed jasmine flowers, lotus, bladderwrack, saffron, and wormwood if you got it, please."
(most of those herbs are used in protection or travel magic)
She looked up, still offering the polite smile.
