Name: KD – pronounced either kae-dy or as the initials.
Full name Khrystariah Dean -Khrystariah pronounced Chris- star- ee- ah

Age: 26

Appearance : KD is medium height, about 5'5 and a healthy, fit weight. She has long dark brown hair that falls around her head and shoulders in think luscious curls. She has clear brown eyes. She isn’t too slim, nor is she unshapely.

Demeanor: KD is quiet and shy; she tries to keep out of other people’s business and lives to stay safe. She knows Bowen is still alive, she can feel it in her sleep, in her waking hours, all the time she can feel it and she feels fear very quickly because of her paranoia about him and his powerful rage.
She is friendly and knowledgeable, and after working many years in the library, she knows where all the books are and she can tell what people are looking for once they step into the doors of the library.
She keeps her intelligent side to herself, she’s seen nightmares where intelligent women have been persecuted for their opinions and she, knowing she already has one thing against her (magic) wishes to keep her intelligence secret.

Magic Circle: She has the power over water - i.e. turn it into snow or ice, control mass bodies of it (for example make small to medium waves in a lake, nothing more than 50L without being too drained or energy), create small bodies of it (small amounting to no more than 5L of water), and to have the occasional prophetic dream/nightmare- these are discussed with the admin.

Material possessions: Dream diary, computer, an apartment, a bed, one old armchair, small table and another single chair, a few kitchen items, just enough to live with. She doesn’t elaborate her home as no one sees it. She feeds a few stray cats that find their way to her balcony. Her grandmother’s ring, it has an oval dark stone that matches a necklace she has from her mother, and a book of spells she came across in an old book store that has her families insignia on it.

History: Khrystariah was raised by her grandmother, a traditional elemental witch of Earth who saw the potential in KD when she was a child to possess the magic essence.
KD's mother was not blessed with the power, therefore had little if anything to do with the girl's upbringing, not by either of their choices. Her Aunt held the essence in her blood as did her cousin, Bowen, a powerful warlock who only grew in power as he did in age, though, eventually the power consumed him.

But, long before that happened, Bowen and KD were close, perhaps closer than they would be if they had been brother and sister, for together they lived in a mansion, their grandmother and KD's aunt, his mother, all sharing the property and the beautiful mansion of many rooms and secrets.

Aunt Millicent spent long trips away from the castle on secret errands for their grandmother, and Bowen hated both the adult for this, his power was controlled by his anger, "the flame of fury" they called it. When he was infuriated, not even KD could calm him, so, their grandmother would create a small rock walled room around him and leave him there until his anger had subsided, or at least, wore out. KD hated the punishment; it sent shivers down her spine as she always had nightmares of being buried alive.

Khrystariah's magic grow slowly, steadily at a pace her grandmother often became impatient with, though once she became thirteen, it grew within her at a much more faster pace, one which sometimes scared KD, though pleased her grandmother greatly.

Her Grandmother, however gentle and kind to outsiders had her own vicious wants for her family’s magic, in training them she was bid eternal life, through anything. Her job was to murder any family member who was not "blessed with the gift" and to train the others for a more sinister purpose. Though Bowen refused to take her lessons in, even as they finished high school he refused to be controlled by his grandmother.

One night they had a horrible fight, before she could trap him in his rock room, he had bound her hands with raging fire. She was surprised by his overpowering outburst and tried to douse his power with dirt as one would with fire in a forest, but, his power was greater than she had ever expected, and when his mother tried to help her, he killed her with a fireball, a horrifying black one.

KD hid behind a bookcase, knowing her power was nothing to combat his, and partly feeling that they deserved what he was doing, not knowing he had already killed his mother. She kept quiet, as she heard her grandmother and cousin fighting, yelling screaming in agony.

Hours later, her Grandmother fell silent, the house fell silent, and a bargain was struck between the man who granted her eternal life and Bowen. He called to KD once the deal was done and they were alone and slowly, quite scared, she stood from behind the shelves and faced him.

He would not hurt her, he told her he couldn't no matter what he was told to do, or how he felt, she had been there for him through out all their lives at the mansion, and she had let him say what he needed to say, and when he had his secret outbursts, she had kept them secret. She forever had his protection, though, if she stood in his way, he wasn't sure his anger could be controlled by him.

They stood solemnly, face to face, and in those moments, she thought about using her power to destroy him, in those moments of fear and her own anger when she saw what he'd done, she felt powerful enough to do it, but, she didn't have the heart to do it.

So she ran.

Years later, she finds herself in Shaya Falls, a shadow in the population; keeping herself secret for fear of a confrontation should her cousin Bowen ever seek her out and find her. Keeping a low profile she works as a librarian. She hasn't used her magic for some time now, not sure what she is destined for and afraid of being discovered. Though she knows it still dwells within her, waiting for some... greater purpose.

Any other interesting facts: NB- her history happened in another place, not in Shaya Falls.
